Responsible for ensuring uptime and maintenance of 4-6 Linux-based Servers and Applications. High degree of familiarity with LAMP, popular open-source projects based on PHP/Perl. Applications and systems to be maintained include Email, Database, Web Servers and Content Management Systems. Practical knowledge of SPAM protection, data security, backup and recovery procedures, installation, patches and experience in management of mission-critical applications. Will be responsible for 24x7 availability of Web Site and Email systems for several thousands of users. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Identify System Performance issues and their resolution
- Ensure optimal deployment of hardware resources
- Design of computing infrastructure
- Establish and document processes from scratch
- Establish and enforce strong security measures

Technical Skills:

Operating Systems:  Linux (advanced level), MS-Windows (Minimal Installation, Configuration), Good understanding of filesystems, space allocation, ability to configure SAN.

Database: Oracle, MySQL, Backup & Recovery, Scripting, Basic Reporting, Admin tools

Networking: Understand network security, Secure protocols, remote management of Servers

Web Servers: Apache

Other: Basic Shell scripts, Perl/PHP, ability to automate tasks and provide reports
